The Star of Vergina is a sixteen-rayed sun, a solar symbol.

It was the emblem of the Macedonian royal dynasty at the time of Philip II and
Alexander the Great.

The symbol of the Sun of Vergina was discovered during archaeological excavations in Greece in 1978.
